SLR LITERACY & NUMERACY

The SUPPORTING LEARNING literacy and numeracy workbooklets and assessment packages are grouped into themes and link into social, living and work skills. They also introduce a range of opportunities to explore different contexts using a range of day to day literacy or numeracy skills.

Below are some of the SUPPORTING LEARNING resources within Literacy or Numeracy themes for you to explore.

PLEASE READ

The 266 unit standard portfolios are in a transition period as the final year of the trial pilots are run around NZ for the new literacy and numeracy requirements for NCEA L1.  You can read more about this here (https://ncea.education.govt.nz/overview-he-titiro-whanui).

We expect the 266 unit standard series (the portfolios) will be phased out by NZQA at the end 2023 (extended from 2022) so we have decided to not sell our packages at their full price, but for $180 + gst for each portfolio pack which you can use with students to gain the 10 NCEA numeracy or literacy credits for 2022-2023 only.

Over next year we are going to write new material, and also redesign and repackage our key literacy and numeracy NCEA L1 material into smaller workbooklets that will then be used as learning material to help prepare students.  Schools can then pick & choose what they would like to focus on for the new external standards.

Once the final standards and guidelines are released in 2023 after the pilots and reviews, we will update these pages with the new Supporting Learning packages.
